Qualifying proved successful for Austria, reaching Euro 2024 with six wins, one draw and one loss in a group containing Belgium and only ending up with one point less than the Red Devils. Although captain David Alaba will probably miss out on the tournament due to an ACL injury and surgery, with players like Marcel Sabitzer, Austria could be one to keep an eye on at the tournament. There's plenty of experience and Ralf Rangnick, the Manager, is eager for good results from the Austria Euro 2024 squad.
The first time Austria participated in the tournament was in 2008 and they only missed the 2012 tournament ever since and have been a regular participant. In 2021, the team made it out of the group stage for the first time ever by ending up second after The Netherlands. They lost to Italy in the next match in extra time. Over the years, the team has shown growth, resilience, talent, and commitment to the sport on the grand stage of the tournament.
