This will be the second Euros for the Slovenian team after they played the tournament in 2000 in Belgium where they did not make it past the group stage. After a surprising qualification round, they ended up second after Denmark, after winning 7 out of 10 games and only losing two, with as many points as Denmark as well.
The most famous player of the team is the great goalkeeper Jan Oblak who has become one of the best goalkeepers in the world and will try to achieve a special performance with the national team. The team is set to play Denmark and Serbia first and will have to play England as their final match in the group stage. It will be a tough group stage for Slovenia with great opponents, but they showed great quality, skill and determination in the qualifying rounds which will hopefully lead to entertaining matches in Group C.
